Wednesday, October 21, 2020.- This week SAMTECH incorporated two new directors, they are Marcela Bravo and Marcello Marchese, executives with extensive professional experience, who will contribute to delivering a renewed business outlook and consolidating new lines of business.
"The arrival of both directors will, without a doubt, be a contribution to the company, since their experience and solid track record will allow for and incorporate new perspectives and opinions on the business and future development of the company," said Cristián Barrientos, partner and general manager of SAMTECH.
Throughout her career, Marcela Bravo has focused on promoting CSR, sustainable development and the management of Corporate Affairs in prominent national companies, such as Aguas Andinas, BCI and ACHS, among others. Currently, she works as general manager in the organization ACCIÓN Empresas.
“Today, the business configuration has changed. Companies have to build new bridges that allow them to manage profitable businesses, strengthen their relationship with their strategic stakeholders, and at the same time, contribute to society”, emphasized Bravo.
On the other hand, Marcello Marchese, who has vast experience in the sector of providing equipment and services for mining, construction, forestry and energy, being part of Finning for more than 18 years, and holding positions such as Senior Vice President of Construction , Forestry and Energy Systems for Argentina, Chile, Bolivia and Uruguay, and as executive president of the company for Latin America. Currently, he serves as president of the Finning South America Advisory Board.
Regarding this designation, the executive indicated that "we are experiencing a very challenging stage, which forces us to generate ideas and strategies that are capable of balancing profitable businesses that are sustainable over time, and that can develop in increasingly volatile contexts." Marchese said.
